JavaScript Job: Junior Developer

As a junior developer within our SITS team you will play a key role in developing a market leading solution which improves higher education institutions globally.

The Role

We are currently seeking a junior developer to join our SITS: Vision development team. Whether you are a recent graduate with limited experience looking for your first commercial role or you have already started your software journey, this role will provide a great opportunity to develop your skills within a first class, market leading and globally deployed product.

Whilst the SITS development team is large, you will join one of our smaller agile teams working on focused areas of the product. This will provide lots of opportunity to engage with, and contribute to, the product as an important stakeholder.

Day to day, you’ll clearly see how your input and contribution has a direct effect on our product, with key activities being developing software, translating user requirements in to Agile user stories and then into appropriate design, architecture and technical output, reviewing test plans, providing impact analysis of new features and defect fixes, participating in code quality activities and identifying root causes of defects and spotting trends and patterns.

We primarily code in Uniface, and whilst experience in this language isn’t necessary, any experience that you have of JavaScript, Uniface, HTML, .NET, SQL, Oracle, MS Reporting Services would be advantageous, along with any familiarity with development languages and recognised database design concepts.
